I'm Filip, and I built FishMap because I got tired of the same question every time I planned a fishing trip: "Where should I go?"
Existing fishing apps either want you to pay for basic features, or they're social feeds where the map is an afterthought. I wanted the map to BE the product — a living heatmap that gets smarter with every catch the community logs.
Here's what's different:
The heatmap is free and open. No premium tier to unlock it. Every angler benefits from every catch logged.
Real regulations, not guesswork. FishMap integrates directly with Sweden's official fishing regulations API, so you can see minimum sizes, closed seasons, and protected areas right on the map. No more googling "can I keep this fish?"
Built for expansion. The data model supports any country. Sweden is first because that's where I fish, but the architecture is ready for Norway, Finland, and beyond.
