I'm Łukasz, solo maker behind First Person Viewpoint.
I built FPV because every "AI roleplay" app I tried felt wrong. AI Dungeon buried the writing under paywalls and a UI that crashes. Character.AI turned into a chatbot factory and then banned anyone under 18. NovelAI is powerful but desktop-first and intimidating. None of them let me actually *live* inside a story the way a good novel does.
So I built the thing I wanted: a narrative engine, not a chatbot.
There are no chat bubbles. No avatars. No HP bars or XP. Just text on a dark background - like a Kindle that writes back. You pick a world (or describe one in a sentence), name your character, choose three traits, and start acting. The AI narrates in second person, present tense. The story grows upward like a manhwa scroll. Older paragraphs fade toward navy - the text literally ages on screen.
A few choices I'm proud of:
→ No chat UI. Zero. The text *is* the interface.
→ 5 narrator styles (Literary, Noir, Concise, Dramatic, Balanced) and 8 narration languages.
→ A Lore tab where you build your own canon - the AI auto-injects matching entries when keywords trigger.
→ Long-press any paragraph to retry with a modifier ("shorter", "darker", "no dialogue"). It rewrites in place.
→ 7 reading fonts, dark + light mode, 10 accent colors. Every reader gets their own look.
Built solo in Expo + React Native. Narration runs on Gemini 3 Flash. Free tier is generous (250 actions/month, 20 sessions). Pro is $9.99, Max is $24.99 — same model quality across all tiers, you're paying for budget and context length, never for quality.
