Top comment

Firetower is an open-source platform for running coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, or Kimi Code on infrastructure you control. Instead of keeping agents tied to your laptop, Firetower runs them on remote machines where sessions can survive disconnects, work in isolated Git worktrees, and be accessed from your desktop or phone. You can run multiple agents in parallel, connect your own servers, keep your code and infrastructure under your control, and switch between different coding agents depending on the task. Firetower handles the boring parts around remote agent execution: repositories, worktrees, sessions, secrets, connectivity, and orchestration. The goal is simple: make coding agents feel less like local CLI processes and more like persistent remote workers you can launch, leave running, and come back to from anywhere. And because the core is built in Rust, Firetower stays lean and efficient. No need to burn half your machine just to orchestrate the agents doing the actual work. Unlike some alternatives, our agent workers add no memory overhead.

who cleans up the worktrees once a branch is merged? on a small server i'd worry about disk filling up after a few weeks of agents

Nice! Congrats! Btw, how do approvals work from the phone if an agent gets stuck?

Congrats on the launch guys! Quick question: what happens when an agent gets stuck waiting on me, like a permission prompt, while I'm away from my laptop? Do I get pinged on my phone or does it just sit there?

The remote workers are way better than any other solution I tried before !

Congrat's for this great product !
