Hey wonderful PH community 👋 If you've ever made a YouTube video, you'll know how time-consuming editing can be. 2 years ago, we released FireCut for Premiere Pro to automate the boring parts of editing so you can spend time on the fun stuff. Today we have thousands of creators and video editors using it to make their lives easier. Our biggest request in these 2 years has been... "Where is FireCut for DaVinci Resolve?!" I'm so excited to share that it's finally here 🔥 FireCut for DaVinci Resolve speeds up editing by: - 🔇 Cleaning up silences from your raw footage (with very precise control) - 🔖 Detecting chapters (to generate markers or even transitions) - 🔍 Creating zoom-cuts at key moments - 📑 Removing repeated takes - 🎙️ Editing podcasts automatically - 🗨️ Adding captions (in 50+ languages) - 🎬 Clipping short videos from your longform content We're early in the process but have already heard from hundreds of editors that this is saving them hours on every edit. Please check it out, we'd love your thoughts :) 👉 https://firecut.ai/ If you'd like to get in touch please email 👉 [email protected] PS: You can get 14 days free + 30% off your first month with code: PRODUCTHUNT30

Huge congrats on the launch! FireCut for DaVinci Resolve looks like a massive time-saver. Quick question, How well does FireCut handle mixed-audio scenarios, like multi-speaker podcasts with overlapping dialogue?

@suhail_idrees1 Finally! AI video editing for DaVinci is huge, most AI tools focus on Premiere or Final Cut. Nika's point about drag-and-drop is spot-on; that's usually the friction point.

Does FireCut handle multicam editing or mainly single-track workflows? Also, for designers creating product demos or case study videos, does it recognize design software screens (Figma, Sketch) and auto-trim silence?

Wow, FireCut AI sounds like a game-changer! 😄 Automating all those tedious Premiere tasks like silences, repeated takes, and captions is such a time-saver. Now you can focus on the creative side and get to your first cut faster love it!

Suhail, I think this is great because we all know editing is the worst part of content creation. Removing repeated takes is a big plus and I'll definitely be checking it out for that sole reason!

I could see how our tool could plug into FireCut AI’s fast video-editing automation to boost our content workflow, and I’m feeling like I should take a closer look at that launch to see what we can build together.

Congrats on the launch! FireCut for Resolve was long overdue, this is going to save editors so many hours.

Wow, your product is genuinely impressive — huge congratulations on the launch!
My team is also building AI video creation tools, and your approach is truly inspiring. The way you’ve integrated directly into a mature software ecosystem is incredibly smooth and elegant. Great work!

Finally can pass on tedious jobs with Adobe to an AI tool! How accurate does firecut manage to remove duplicates and divide chapters?

Been cutting a weekly podcast in Premiere killing silences is my least favorite bit. Auto cut + captions + chapter detect sounds nice. Curious how it handles messy timelines and repeated takes. If it’s stable, could save me a late night or two.

I've always hated doing editing for my videos, and I was waiting for a while for AI to catch up when it comes to editing. Firecut was one of the first tools on the market. I've seen it evolve, and now that it has Resolve?? My editor of choice anyways. This is such a huge win!

Amazing work! Can FireCut for DaVinci Resolve handle multi-camera edits too, or just single-track footage?

Damn! I'm definitely going to try it. Will the Product Hunt 30% discount and the Black Friday 50% discount combine?

@sepharoth Huge win for Resolve users, especially since most AI editing tools force you into their own ecosystem instead of meeting you where you already work. Automating the repetitive stuff (zoom cuts, chapter detection, podcast cleanup) is exactly the layer that slows editors down the most.

Curious, which feature surprised you by saving people the most time once they started using it?

It has finally become a platform for short videos. But one thing I am still missing is drag-and-drop video on the X and Y axes. In CapCut, I adjust the video's position in the preview box. In DaVinci Resolve, I need to adjust it in the Transform panel. That's the reason why I haven't switched to DaVinci Resolve from CapCut completely :D
