We built this because choosing wine is weirdly stressful for something that’s supposed to be fun.
Most people aren’t curating cellars or tracking vintages—they’re just trying to pick a good bottle in the moment. But the tools out there didn’t reflect that. They assume knowledge, time, or long-term intent.
The interesting challenge here was flipping that model: what if wine discovery was instant, contextual, and actually helpful right where the decision happens—in the aisle or at the table?
That’s what led to the idea of scanning the environment and giving real-time, personalized picks. It’s less about “learning wine” and more about removing friction so you can just enjoy it.
