Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built FinChat because I was tired of opening an app, picking a category
from a dropdown, and manually splitting bills with friends every single
time I spent money. So I tried something simpler — you just type what
happened, like:
"spent 200 on dinner, 180 mine and 20 is Rahul's share"
...and it logs it, categorizes it, and keeps a running tab of who owes
whom. No dropdowns, no manual entry.
A few things it handles:
- Understands multiple expenses in one message and logs them separately
(e.g. "500 on food, 300 on a mattress, 100 on cake" → 3 clean entries)
- Tracks shared expenses with friends, with a running balance and a
settle-up option
- Day/week/month spend trends, category breakdowns, and savings rate
