Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Vilva, the maker.
In 2020 when covid was at peak, I was living in Germany and my parents were in India. My dad got covid. 10 days went, then 15 days, and he was still not getting better. I was sitting in Germany not able to fly, just calling every few hours.
Then one night he started sending me messages on WhatsApp. Not "how are you" messages. Bank account numbers. Which FD is in which bank. Where the property papers are kept. Whom to call for the land.
My dad recovered. Thank god. But the thought didn't leave me. He got 15 days to think and send all those messages. What about the people who dont get that time? Accident. Heart attack at 40.
So I built Final Saying. You write messages now, we check in with you, and only if you stop responding (after 3 reminders) we deliver them to the people you chose.
The one thing I was very particular about is WhatsApp. Most "message after death" services only send email. My dad doesnt open email at all, but he checks WhatsApp 50 times a day. So Final Saying delivers on WhatsApp also.
I know this is a dark topic. But I feel it is better to write these things when you are calm and healthy, not in a hospital bed. Would really love your feedback, good or bad 🙏
