Hey everyone 👋 I moved to the UK for work and learned about Overseas Workday Relief, tax-free treatment on income earned from days worked outside the UK, for your first four years of residence. Accountants quoted me £1,000–£3,000 just for the calculation, not even the filing.
Turns out it's genuinely fiddly, RSU tranches source over their own grant-to-vest window, bonuses source to a different period entirely, and everything has to reconcile against the actual payslip rate. So I built FIG Tracker to handle the mechanical parts, workday tracking, RSU/bonus sourcing, and an evidence report for your accountant. It's free.
Not tax advice, just a calculation aid, always confirm with an accountant before filing. Would love feedback, especially on whether a forward-looking simulator (plan overseas days before booking) would actually be useful, that's what I'm exploring next.
