We originally built Fig to help people bring their ideas to life straight from their phones. Our V1 saw 300k installs, but we quickly realized a painful truth: building static UI scaffolding around AI is a trap. Foundational models are advancing so fast that traditional interfaces are becoming obsolete.
So, we did something crazy. We completely ripped out our V1 architecture and spent the last 8 weeks rebuilding Fig from the ground up to natively ride the AI wave.

Hey everyone! Jumping in to share a bit more context on what we’re building.
We’ve been mobile first since day 1. Earlier this year, the 'Openclaw moment' really confirmed what we’d been feeling: mobile isn't just a backup for when you're away from your desk, it’s actually where a lot of people prefer to get things done now.
It’s been awesome seeing the first wave of users move from v1 to v2. One person recently went from just a basic landing page to a full business setup: checkout, bookings, and a WhatsApp chatbot, all in about 48 hours. Seeing that kind of speed is what keeps us caffeinated.
A few quick updates:
Video & Music: We’re rolling these out this week! It was the #1 request from our users, so we’re stoked to get it live.
More coming: The pipeline for the next couple of weeks is pretty packed. We’re moving fast.
Ultimately, we just want to use AI to get rid of the annoying parts of 'interfaces' and just let the tech execute for you. Mobile is where we’re starting, but we definitely aren't stopping there.
