FieldBrief is a mobile-first crew management platform built specifically for commercial landscaping companies. Plan your entire week in a visual Mon–Fri planner, send professional crew briefings by SMS in one tap, track labor budgets per property per month, and generate service calendars you can email directly to property managers — all from your phone. Built by a commercial landscaping account manager who spent years managing crews by text message and spreadsheet. No complicated setup.
I spent years as a commercial landscaping account manager managing over a dozen properties and two crews. Every single morning started the same way — a flood of individual text messages to crew leaders telling them where to go, what to do, and how long they had to do it. By noon I was already behind, chasing updates, answering calls from property managers asking what was happening on their property, and trying to remember which jobs were running over budget.
At the end of the month I was pulling numbers from memory and spreadsheets to put together reports that should have taken minutes but always took hours. There was no real system. Just experience, instinct, and a lot of texts.
I looked for a tool that could help. Everything I found was either built for the owner sitting in an office, required expensive training to set up, charged per seat, or was so complicated my crew leaders would never use it. Nothing was built for the person actually doing the work in the field. So I built it myself.
FieldBrief started as a simple scheduling grid I put together just to organize my own week. Then I added SMS dispatch so I could brief my crews in one tap instead of five separate texts. Then budget tracking because I needed to know in real time which properties were trending over before the month was already gone. Then monthly service calendars because property managers kept asking me what was planned for the coming month and I had no professional way to show them.
Every feature in FieldBrief came directly from a problem I experienced personally. Nothing was added because it sounded good on a features list. Everything exists because I needed it on a Tuesday morning standing next to my truck.
The result is a tool that any account manager can open on their phone, set up in ten minutes, and actually use every day — without a training session, without an IT department, and without a per-seat bill that requires a corporate approval.
One flat price. Your whole team. Built by someone who does the job.
