One thing I’ve always done, ever since high school, is set goals — for the year, the month, or the week. But I kept running into the same problem: after the initial excitement, it was easy to lose sight of the small steps, changes, and setbacks along the way.
So, after thinking about it for so long, I decided it was time to build a place where I could stay close to my goals—not just mark them complete someday, but record what happened, check in regularly, and eventually look back at how far I’d come.
That idea became Faro.
This is how it works:
🧭 Create goals and milestones and track them over time. Start whenever you want — any day is a good day to begin.
📝 Add progress updates to each goal using text, voice notes, or photos. Small updates add up to a useful history.
🌊 Complete periodic check-ins to review how a selected period went, update milestones, and decide what comes next. A short pause can keep a goal from fading into the background.
✨ Generate AI reviews that summarize how a goal went, surface key themes and blockers, and suggest what to focus on next — with citations to the entries and check-ins used. Sometimes progress is easier to see when you look back.
💬 Ask Faro about your goal history: "How's my half marathon training going?" It answers from your own updates and shows its sources. The answer may already be somewhere in what you recorded.
Privacy isn't a footnote here, it's the heart of the app. Your content never trains third-party AI or feeds analytics. AI stays off until you turn it on, and every review shows exactly which entries it will read, so you can leave any of them out.

A small thing I'd love is the ability to share a goal with someone like a coach or accountability partner in read-only mode, so they can see the check-ins and AI summaries but not edit anything. Would make it way easier to stay accountable without worrying about someone accidentally changing my targets.
Voice updates for goals feel more natural than typing, and the AI summary actually picked up on something I missed about my own week.
