Fantasy Read
An AI book reader with instant spoiler-free context.
FantasyRead is an AI-powered EPUB reader that explains characters, places and concepts as you read. Without revealing anything beyond your current progress. It adds instant, spoiler-free, inline context for characters, places, and concepts -exactly up to the section you’re reading. Readers can upload DRM-free EPUBs they legally own and get a smoother, more confident reading experience without breaking immersion.
I created Fantasy Read because I love complex fantasy books, but often stopping to locate a character or place interrupted my reading experience.
Fantasy Read processes a DRM-free EPUB once and adds contextual explanations directly in the reader. From then on, every explanation is instant and available inline - no chat, no loading, one tap away. It is also spoiler-free, accumulating knowledge limited only to the chapters of the book you have already reached, even offline.
The iPhone and web versions are now live, and I would especially value feedback on:
– whether the inline context feels natural while reading; – which types of books benefit most from it; – what would make you trust an AI-assisted reading experience;
Love how it caps explanations at exactly where you are in the book, no accidental spoilers. That restraint in the design is exactly what keeps the immersion intact while still helping you keep track of everything.
