FakeMessenger
Create fake chat videos in seconds, free in your browser
FakeMessenger is a free fake chat generator that turns a scripted conversation into an animated video: bubbles pop in one by one, with typing animation and sounds, like a real messaging app. No sign-up, everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
Hi Product Hunt!
I built FakeMessenger because making a believable chat video usually means screen recording a phone or fighting a video editor. Here you just type the conversation, tweak the look and click GET VIDEO.
How it works:
- Write the messages, add names, profile pictures and photos
- Pick a theme (iMessage style, WhatsApp style or fully custom colors), toggle the typing animation and sounds, choose square or vertical format
- Export an animated MP4 where the bubbles appear one by one, like a real screen recording
Everything runs in the browser: the video is rendered locally on your device, so your messages and photos are never uploaded to a server. It is 100% free, with no account to create, and it is available in 9 languages.
People use it for texting story videos on TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts, pranks between friends, storytelling and UI mockups.
I would love your feedback, especially on the themes and the export quality. What should I add next?

FakeMessenger was hunted by GDNForge. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
