Hunted byJim SinkJim Sink

Fablr is a voice-first family memoir service. Most families mean to record a parent’s stories and never do, because writing a memoir feels too hard or too easy to postpone. Fablr replaces the blank page with a conversation. A storyteller talks, Fablr asks the natural follow-up questions, and their memories become written stories and a hardcover book the family can add to. No writing, no homework, no recurring billing.

Hi Product Hunt. I'm Jim, and I built Fablr because of a gift that failed. My brother and I gave our dad a kit to write his autobiography. He wanted to do it. He really tried. But every rigid prompt felt like another homework assignment, and eventually the blank page won. The problem was never that he had nothing to say. Put him at a dinner table and he would talk for hours. The problem was that we handed him an assignment when what he needed was an audience. So Fablr is a biographer, not a workbook. Your parent or grandparent opens it and just talks. It asks the follow-up questions a good interviewer would, remembers what they shared in earlier conversations, comes back to the details worth exploring, and gives them time to think. Nothing to write and nothing to install. Family and friends can add their own memories too, and those get woven into the story, because nobody's story is told alone. The conversations become polished written stories, and then a full color hardcover book. QR codes in the pages let the family hear the story in the storyteller's actual voice, which for me is the entire point. I'm a solo founder and this is my first launch. My goal is to save a million stories. Use PRODUCTHUNT for $25 off, and I'd genuinely love to hear which recording your own family wishes they had.

Who hunted Fablr?

Fablr was hunted by Jim Sink. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
