I am a material scientist, and for years I struggled to keep my workload, my life admin and everything in between in one place. No single piece of software pulled it all together, so I was forever switching between apps, and none of them ever felt like mine.
So I built Exsut. It brings everything needed to manage modern life into one modular app, and it is live today on Windows and Mac. Tasks, finance, habits, journal, calendar and more, all in one interface built on three ideas: Local first, modularity, and you own your encrypted data.
Local first/encryption is the part I care about most. Everything lives in a single SQLite database on your own machine. No account, no cloud, no usage tracking. The only network calls the app makes are licence checks, updates, and the feedback button if you use it. You can also turn on full encryption, so the whole database is locked with AES-256 behind a passphrase only you hold. I never see it and cannot recover it. When you write in a journal or record your finances, you are putting it somewhere genuinely private, not on a server you have to trust. Because your data is just a file you control, you are never locked in. Export it, back it up to an external drive, move it between machines, do whatever you want with it.
The modularity means you can pick and choose which modules are most important for you to manage a modern life.
