I built Expengic to make shared expenses faster to enter and easier to settle.
The problem I kept seeing: friends, flatmates and travel groups often use notes, spreadsheets or chat messages to track who paid for what. It works at first, but gets messy once receipts, custom splits and settlements are involved.
Expengic helps groups:
• scan or attach receipts
• enter expenses quickly
• split costs equally or with custom amounts
• see who paid and who owes what
• settle balances clearly
• keep a clean settlement history
The main idea is simple: shared expenses should be fast to capture, clear to split, and easy to settle.
It is built in Germany with a privacy-conscious approach, and I am especially looking for feedback from people who split expenses with flatmates, partners, travel groups, friends or small event crews.
