Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Quentin, a freelance Business Analyst working on Salesforce Commerce Cloud e-commerce platforms.
For years I watched teams (me included) struggle with the same thing: product catalogs, price books and feeds live in huge XML files, but business teams work in Excel. Every bulk edit meant fragile scripts, VBA macros that only ran on Windows, or hours of copy-paste — and one broken tag could ruin an import.
So I built ExcelifyXML:
1️⃣ Drop your XML → get an editable CSV + a structure manifest
2️⃣ Edit it in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets or LibreOffice
3️⃣ Drop it back → the original XML is rebuilt identically, in one click
What makes it different:
• Works in the browser on Mac, Windows and Linux, no macro or install
• Handles multi-locale, multi-attribute and nested values (SFCC, Akeneo, Magento, Shopify… and any well-formed XML)
• Privacy first: files are processed in memory and never stored (GDPR, EU servers)
My first version relied on Excel macros; moving the reconstruction to the web was the big turning point, since it now works everywhere.
