Hey all! I'm excited to let you know about an add-in I've been working on for getting perfect HTML tables from any selection of Excel cells to publish on the web or paste into Outlook. Just search for "Selection To HTML" in add-ins inside Excel.
If you've ever felt annoyed by the bloated code Excel's native "Save as Web Page" outputs, or tried to get a cobbled together VBA workaround working, or pasted cells into Outlook only to discover the massive mess it makes, then this add-in is for you.
In 2019 I sat next to an economist at the office Xmas party and I asked her what the most annoying part of her job was (great conversationalist I know). She said "converting Excel sheet regions into HTML for the web." I realized that was something I could help with and this add-in was born.
Just recently I shipped a new feature for publishing perfectly formatted cell selections on the web on a fully hosted page with a secret URL you can share. I'm really excited about this new workflow and I hope it will be useful to you. Thanks for reading!
