Hey PH 👋 I'm Josh, the founder of EveryLastMile.
Right after I went self-employed last year, I needed a mileage tracker for all the odds and ends jobs I took on. Existing apps either missed short drives or wanted me to be a part-time mileage admin at the end of each day. I didn't have time for that nonsense, so I started building something to suit my needs.
A little about me: I've led product teams at location technology startups for 6 years, including spending 2 years at MileIQ leading the iOS & Android teams that shipped tons of improvements to the UX and drive technology, alongside new classification automations. Now I'm self-employed and building EveryLastMile full-time.
EveryLastMile is an iOS mileage tracker for anyone tracking drives and miles, not just the location tech nerds like myself. The three things I care about most in a great mileage app:
• You shouldn't need to be a part-time mileage admin. Our app helps you set up your routine locations, vehicles, and schedules, then it runs in the background recording and classifying (arguably the most tedious parts of mileage tracking today). Most days, there's nothing to classify or review.
• Remembering every drive can be a pain. I like to say my strategy is to help you recognize rather than recall, as it's easier to recognize you had a breakfast burrito that morning by spotting the salsa stain on your pants than to mentally retrace your morning. Color-coded routes by driving speed (red segments show where traffic slowed you down) and Points-of-interest fill in context where street addresses fall short (client lunch at "Brent's Deli" vs "2417 Hayes St").
• Your drive data is personal and should stay on your iPhone. You can even sign-in with your Apple ID to sync drives to your own iCloud. Your data isn't saved on our servers and it isn't tied to your subscription, meaning you'll always be able to view your historical drives in your app. We don't use ad SDKs or data brokers, and every third-party service we use is clearly shared in our privacy policy.
Give it a try free for 30 days, no credit card required. Then it's only $3.99/mo.
Whether you like it or hate it, I'd love to hear about your experience. And for those of you who drive for work, how do you handle mileage tracking today?
