Essel started because of a problem we kept running into ourselves.
While working at UIX Labs, we were managing SEO for multiple products. Every product needed keyword research, competitor analysis, content planning, writing, optimization, publishing, and constant updates. AI writers helped us generate content faster, but everything else was still manual. As we took on more products, it became harder and harder to keep up.
One day we asked ourselves, why are we still doing all of this by hand?
Instead of building another AI writing tool, we started building an internal system that could do the work for us. It researched topics, understood our products, planned content, wrote articles, scored them for SEO, and published them. We built it simply because we needed it.
After using it across our own products, the results were better than we expected. We were publishing more consistently, spending far less time on repetitive work, and could focus on building instead of managing SEO.
That was the moment we realized this wasn't just our problem. Every small team wants organic growth, but very few have the time to execute SEO consistently.
So we decided to turn our internal tool into Essel.

The part that gives me pause is "publishes it to your website" without mentioning a review step. Auto-publishing AI content at scale is exactly the pattern Google has been actively penalizing this past year. Is there a draft/approval gate before anything goes live, or does it push straight to production by default?

I run a small real estate content site on the side and do all the SEO by hand: keyword sheet, internal links, metadata, all of it. I'm curious where Essel finds its keyword opportunities. Is it working off Search Console data from my actual site, or doing its own research? In my experience that distinction matters a lot, since my best queries were ones I never would have guessed.
