Hello Product Hunt! Hereā€™s whatā€™s happened since you premiated Endelā€™s science-driven, AI-powered soundscapes with a Golden Kitty in 2022ā€¦ In one and a half years, the number of Endel users diagnosed with ADHD or experiencing ADHD-related challenges rose from 31% to 53% ā€“ as shown by our onboarding survey. Helping against distractions is Endelā€™s area of expertise. However, filtering out distractions multiplied by unique ADHD traits of a neurodivergent person is a whole different kind. Luckily, Nik @adhdvision, an ADHD advocate and Endelā€™s long-standing collaborator, helped us form a set of features to match ā€” some of them going beyond just sound. Nikā€™s engaged community willingly participated in the research, testing, and even marketing for this new face of Endel. The resulting major update was co-created with hundreds of ADHD people who entrusted their focus, relaxation, and sleep to Endel even before the app could offer a proper ADHD-focused experience. But now, they have their own domain inside the app! The best way to get to know the new features is to check them out yourself with this free extended trial link (1 month free): https://endel.io/producthunt Even if your life patterns are not affected by ADHD, you might still find useful features in this update. Whether neurodivergent or neuronormative, we all need help with distraction! Hereā€™s a quick summary of what the update has to offer: ā€¢ A tunable, endless, AI-generated soundscape featuring popular Colored Noises widely used in sound therapy (white and black included), plus our own special Endel Noise designed for longer listening sessions ā€¢ An App Blocker feature that turns your phone from a FOMO-fueling machine into a source of calm. You can manually choose which apps to mute or temporarily block whole app categories (messengers, media, etc.) ā€¢ Three sound Scenarios made to support ADHD: Attention Boost for work, Brain Massage for a break, and Binaural Beats for both ā€¢ A task headline added to our Focus Timer tool, to help you keep your goal in sight when working. This simple affirmation technique gives you a psychological boost and helps with finishing tasks ā€¢ A streamlined app interface that places a range of sounds and features at your fingertips ā€“ and does so in style ā€¢ As an extra, weā€™ve produced a capsule collection of merch. Being a community-driven project, this release was destined to be coupled with some nifty merch as a means of two-way support Iā€™d love to hear any thoughts and suggestions you might have relating to the new features ā€” feel free to share them in this thread. Questions will also be appreciated.

I've been using Endel for ADHD for a few weeks now, and I must say that it has been a exiting for me. The soundscapes definitely help me focus and avoid distractions. Moreover, the app blocker function is invaluable.

Endel for ADHD seems great. Combining soundscapes with an app blocker is a clever way to reduce distractions. The scientific approach and participation from the ADHD community are excellent. šŸŽ§šŸ’Ŗ

Congrats on the launch! but It would be fantastic if Endel could combine with other productivity applications or tools to improve focus even further. Perhaps syncing with task management applications would make it even more beneficial for ADHD.

Seems to be completely broken on Mac. Created an account, can login to the web interface just fine. Can log into the Mac App just fine, the minute I subscribed to the 30 day trial and then try to login to the Mac app it says "Response serialization failed" and won't log me in any more.

This update sounds super useful, especially for those of us who get distracted easily. Haven't tried it yet, but from what you've shared, it looks promising. Congrats on the new features!

@philippkaretov Congratulation on your product launch šŸš€. I admire the design patterns of Endel, and I believe my background in User centered design aligns well with your teamā€™s needs. Will you be needing a Product Designer?

@philippkaretov Hey, the new ADHD-focused features sound really useful! I'm excited to try them out, especially the App Blocker. Quick question--do these features work across all devices or are they limited to certain ones? Thanks!

I honestly felt silly as hell subscribing to an app for some soundscapes and couldn't fathom how it could be worth the money when I started my trial. I'm begrudgingly a happy customer as is the handful of people I've recommended Endel to. Incredibly handy, especially for people with ADHD or people struggling to have a consistent sleep routine.

How does the app blocker handle notifications from essential apps? It would be useful to have more control over what gets muted.

The focus on ADHD with features like the app blocker and soundscapes is commendable. these updates should enhance user experience significantly.

Just a heads up: your "After Endel" image says 'Distracted, Sleepless, Stressed". Pretty sure you don't want to advertise that as being the result of using your app.

For me, itā€™s all about setting specific goals with clear deadlines. I use my calendar and to do lists to keep everything organized.

Iā€™ve been an Endel user for years and Iā€™m always impressed by the value the team continues to add to this product. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD, so I was thrilled with the latest update. To be clear, neither I nor the developers are claiming this is some kind of non-FDA miracle cure for ADHD; rather, itā€™s a tool for ADHDers to put in their toolkit, along with CBT, medication, diet/exercise, and other treatments. I have ADHD-PI, and Iā€™ve found that I work best with low levels of ambient noise + noise canceling, especially in public (but even sometimes at home). I think this is a perfect use case for Endel: I have found over the years that despite my desire to listen to my favorite music while working, I actually get pretty distracted by it, esp if itā€™s complex and certainly if it has lyrics. So this suite of tools, which includes ambient noise and more structured sounds, is a great focus aid for me (again, I do all the other treatments too)! Would highly recommend giving this a try

It would be interesting to see if thereā€™s potential for integrating with other wellness apps or devices for even more customization. The focus on tailoring soundscapes to individual needs is impressive and seems well thought out.

The concept of personalized soundscapes is intriguing. The way it adapts to factors like weather and heart rate sounds really promising. Itā€™s exciting to see such a science backed approach to improving focus and relaxation.

This is an impressive update, @philippkaretov! The growth in ADHD users truly reflects how well youā€™ve tuned into the community's needs. Excited to see the new App Blocker feature in action; a calm phone sounds like a game changer! šŸŽ‰ The focus tools sound perfect for anyone, ADHD or not. Can't wait to test the Attention Boost scenarioā€”fingers crossed it helps me finally finish that book that's been sitting on my shelf! What other scenarios are in the pipeline?

This toolkitā€™s combination of soundscapes and app blocking is similar to some focus tools but adds more personalized touch. Itā€™s great to see this level of customization.
