Encryption 1 is a lightweight, zero-install suite of local privacy utilities designed for professionals, travelers, and privacy advocates who need to protect sensitive data on the go. Built entirely on vanilla JavaScript and the browser's native WebCrypto API, the entire application runs locally within your browser. No accounts, no cookies, no third-party trackers, and absolutely zero server connections.
I built this tool because I noticed a massive gap for professionals on the move—lawyers, executives, and digital nomads who often find themselves trapped on terrible airport Wi-Fi, working from hotel business centers, or using public terminals. Traditional local options like VeraCrypt or 7-Zip require full machine installation permissions, while modern cloud encryptors require an active, trusted internet connection.
Encryption 1 solves this by packing heavy, military-grade security into a single, portable HTML file. You can throw it on a thumb drive, drop your device into Airplane Mode, bundle your text notes and sensitive documents into a single package, and download your vault with 100% certainty that no server ever saw your data.
