Hey Product Hunt community! 👋 I’m the maker of Encircle, and I’m so excited to share it with all of you today. The Backstory: I built Encircle because I found myself constantly breaking my flow during the workday. Whenever I needed to analyze something on my screen using AI—whether it was a cryptic terminal stack trace, a complex graph in a PDF, or just figuring out a setting — I had to: 1. Take a screenshot. 2. Open a new browser tab. 3. Navigate to ChatGPT or Claude. 4. Upload the file and type my query. It was slow and friction-heavy. I wanted a way to get answers instantly, right where my eyes were looking. What is Encircle? Encircle is a lightweight utility designed exclusively for macOS. You trigger it with a simple keyboard shortcut, draw a circle around any area on your screen, and an interactive AI prompt pops up directly next to your selection. Our Tech & Privacy Approach: Encircle is built natively for macOS to ensure it is extremely fast and integrates smoothly with system shortcuts. Because privacy is critical, your screenshot history and questions stay stored locally on your Mac. I would love to hear what features you want us to add next! I’ll be here all day answering questions and reading your feedback. Thank you in advance! ❤️
