Every marketplace has different photo ratios — 1:1, 4:5, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16. Encadra shows a white frame on your camera preview that matches the exact save area. Tap the shutter, and the photo inside the frame is saved as a finished JPEG. No cropping step. Built for resellers who photograph dozens of products daily on Depop, Poshmark, eBay, and Etsy. Free with a $6.99 lifetime Pro. Privacy-first: no account, no ads, on-device processing only.

I'm a solo developer based in Japan, and I built Encadra because I kept seeing the same problem: resellers on Depop, Poshmark, eBay, and Etsy photograph dozens of products every day, and after every single shot they crop, save, and upload. The marketplaces all want different ratios — 1:1, 4:5, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16 — and even when your camera has the right ratio, you still crop afterward. It adds up to hours of repetitive work. Encadra removes that step entirely. You choose a ratio, a white frame shows exactly what gets saved, and when you tap the shutter the photo is complete. No cropping, no editing app, no extra steps. I built it with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, sharing about 90% of the code between Android and iOS while keeping native camera access (CameraX on Android, AVFoundation on iOS). All processing happens on the device — no account, no ads, no analytics, no photos leaving the phone. The Pro upgrade is $6.99 lifetime, not a subscription. Resellers are running small businesses, and a camera app is a utility — there's no ongoing cost on my side, so a subscription didn't feel right. I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially on the KMP/CMP approach for camera apps. It's not the most common choice, but the code reuse has been worth it.

Encadra was hunted by Raz Web3. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
