The idea for Ember came from a simple problem: I never remember to take a photo of what I eat. I always tell myself, “I’ll do it later”… and of course, I only think about it hours afterward, when it’s too late to scan anything. I wanted a way to log my meals without needing to remember at the exact moment I’m eating. That’s when I imagined a tracker that could analyze a meal from a simple description, even if I log it at the end of the day. “A chicken sandwich, a coffee, and a chocolate yogurt” → instant calories and macros. At first, I only wanted to simplify food tracking. But as I built Ember, I realized that understanding your nutrition goes hand-in-hand with your other habits: hydration, steps, fasting… That’s how Ember became a more complete health-tracking tool

Congratulations on the launch! And will it understand complex dishes with many ingredients? For example, Thai Tom Yum soup — I have no idea what ingredients it has :)

This is a really cool idea - can you update an entry? For example, if the output thinks you ate a large bowl of ramen but in reality you only ate a small bowl, can I add human in the loop update input request?

congrats for the launch! Make it to take photos and AI tells you the calories too!

I love this idea! I am also trying to get my macros right and find it hard to do so, always doing it in my head or guestimating. So much easier!

How is it with "dosing?" Can an app identify from a photo how much that meal weighs?
