Hey, I'm Smit — I built Email Verify because I was tired of paying NeverBounce prices for what's fundamentally a few DNS lookups and an SMTP handshake.
What it does: paste an email (or upload a CSV, or hit the API) and it runs five checks — syntax, disposable-domain blocklist, MX records, role-account detection, and a live SMTP handshake with the recipient's server. You get back deliverable / risky / undeliverable.
Two things I'm doing differently:
1. AI agents can use it directly. There's an MCP server with a verify_email tool — Claude or any MCP client can verify addresses mid-workflow. Setup guide at /works-with-ai.
2. Pricing. Credit packs never expire ($7/1k, $30/5k, $125/25k). Subscriptions from $15/mo. Roughly 20-30% cheaper than NeverBounce/ZeroBounce for the same checks.
Free tier: 100 verifications/month, no card required. Anonymous: 10 checks/day.
One honest limitation: some providers (Hotmail/Yahoo) block port 25 from datacenter IPs, so those mailboxes come back as "risky" rather than confirmed. Working on expanding coverage.
