Hi Product Hunt, I'm Michal. A while back my partner asked me at dinner: "what was the best part of your week?" and I sat there a moment before realizing I genuinely didn't have an answer. Not because nothing good had happened. Because we hadn't had that kind of conversation in so long that the muscle had gone soft. That's not a fight. Nothing's wrong. Life just gets logistical. Elumi started from that dinner. It's a daily ritual for couples - one thoughtful question arrives each day. Things like "What's something you've been wanting to tell me but haven't found the right moment?" You answer privately. Your partner can't see what you wrote until they've answered too. When you both do, the answers reveal at the same time. That's the whole thing. Two minutes. No feed. No group chat. No notifications nagging you to "keep your streak alive." The hardest part was the feel. Early versions had streaks that warned you when you were about to lose them. Push notifications that said "your partner is waiting." It was effective the way productivity apps are effective - and it was wrong for what this is. Pressuring couples to talk doesn't make them closer. It makes the app feel like another chore. So I threw all of that out. Every prompt got rewritten. Every notification. Streaks quietly celebrate showing up and say nothing when you miss. The tone is calm on purpose. iPhone-only for now, free, with optional premium ($7.99/mo or $59.99/yr) for unlimited memories, future letters, and monthly recaps. The daily ritual itself is never paywalled, and I don't plan to change that. Things I'm still figuring out: 1. Whether the prompts are actually good. I rewrote them three times and I still don't know. 2. Whether the unlock-together mechanic feels magical or annoying for impatient people. 3. Whether two minutes a day is too little, or honestly the right amount. If you try it with your partner, I'd really like to know how it lands. Honest feedback, including the harsh kind, helps more than upvotes. — Michal

Who hunted Elumi?

Elumi was hunted by Michał Gałęziowski. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
