Hey Product Hunt 👋
Many years ago I built an electronic parts catalog for European truck parts — gearboxes, axles, brakes. Click a diagram, find the part. It shipped, it worked, people used it every day.
I always wanted to take that idea further: make it work for *anything*, not just truck parts, and put it in anyone's hands for free. This week I finally built it.
**Electronic Catalog Maker** turns any photo or diagram into a clickable, searchable catalog. A few things that make it different:
🖱️ **Click a hotspot, see the row.** Any image — a schematic, a floor plan, a product photo — gets clickable points that link to a data table (name, SKU, specs, price, whatever you need).
📦 **One file, no backend.** A catalog is a single portable `.ecatm` file (it's SQLite under the hood). No server, no account, no install — everything runs in your browser.
🔌 **Embeddable anywhere.** `` is a Web Component you can drop into any site with one script tag.
🤝 **Real-time collaboration, self-hosted.** Click "Start collaboration," send the link, and edit the same catalog live with someone else — no account, no cloud service of mine in the middle. It runs on a tiny app you launch on your own machine.
🛒 **Sell straight from it.** Add a checkout URL to any row's data and a Buy button appears — works with pretty much any online store, and multiple items combine into one cart.
💻 **Install like a real app.** No app store needed — your browser offers "Install" and it becomes a real desktop app.
