Quick backstory: I shipped a few mobile apps over the last year but have started having a tough time deciding what to focus on.
I kept noticing that my best thinking happens in conversation, not in writing. But I can't always call someone at midnight when an idea clicks. And typing into ChatGPT, while useful, always felt... flat. Like I was filing a support ticket for my own thoughts.
So I built a thing where AI actually talks back. On video. Face to face.
The technical side: you record a video message, the AI processes what you said, generates a thoughtful response, and delivers it as a video from one of three companions - each with a distinct personality and thinking style.
What surprised me most in testing: the conversations feel different when there's a face. You speak differently. You think differently. There's something about being looked at - even by an AI - that makes you more honest with your own ideas.
