Hey, I'm Austin.
Between my own deals and my friends', I've been through a lot of auto financing — commercial, simple auto, etc. — and I've seen contracts go wrong, or just never really get explained, more times than I can count.
Most people think a $20,000+ auto contract is straightforward. It isn't. There's more in there than almost anyone reads or fully understands, whether you're about to sign or already paying it off.
So I built Elak for this.
One thing I want to say: this isn't about going against dealerships or car sellers. It's about people actually understanding their own contract, and having a negotiation cheat sheet in hand, without paying a lot of money to a car expert to get it.
I'm honestly not sure how many people in this community have ever financed a car, but if you have, I'd really love to hear from you. And even if you haven't, any feedback on the idea itself, or the writing, means a lot.
