What inspired me to create Effie?
As a content creator, I often found myself struggling with existing tools:
So-called "immersive writing" apps like Ulysses or Bear are still cluttered with buttons. Not exactly distraction-free, right?
These apps often lack Windows and Android versions. They take the easy route with iCloud sync, leaving many users out in the cold.
While outlining tools like Workflowy exist, they fall short in truly streamlining the writing process.
The AI support in most writing tools feels disconnected. I was tired of copying text between multiple windows.
I thought, "There has to be a better way!" That's when Effie was born. :)

I joined PH recently to study successful launches and prepare for a product I'm working on. Looking at the Hunted.Space dashboard from yesterday (https://hunted.space/overview/2025/March/26) you guys were trailing literally the entire day (for like 23+ hours straight) and then out of nowhere in the last 30-40 minutes you had this huge jump in upvotes and won the #1 product by like 10 or 11 votes. Look at that curve on the chart! It looks totally off.. What's even weirder is that I kept watching your progress after the daily voting closed and your upvote momentum suddenly disappeared as soon as it no longer mattered. In fact, the product that you "beat" for first place kept gaining their regular momentum and ended up passing you again after just a few minutes! So just being honest - It looks like you rigged a bunch of upvotes for just that 30 minutes so you could claim the top spot. Sorry to call you out on this, but as I said - I'm planning my own launch and everyone seems to complain about ppl cheating and buying upvotes and fake bots and all that. I think stuff like that cheapens the PH platform and so I feel compelled to raise it here. I'd be happy to be wrong... feel free to explain :-) And again - product looks cool. I'll probably even give it a spin... Peace

I love the idea of Effie combining mind mapping, minimalist writing, and AI — especially with real cross-platform support. So many "distraction-free" apps ironically distract me with buttons, sync bugs, or just being Mac-only 🙃
