I've been building this for Protestant and Evangelical churches, communities where mutual aid is a core theological mission, not just a nice-to-have. And yet most of them are still running it through WhatsApp groups and post-service conversations.
The problem in practice: someone loses their job, gets sick, or slowly isolates, and nobody knows. Not because people don't care, but because there's no structure for it. The pastor ends up coordinating everything alone, and the people who most need help are the ones least likely to ask for it publicly.
