I built EasyNest for my dad. He runs a small construction business in South Africa and was doing everything with spreadsheets and Word documents. Quotes, invoices, tracking who's paid and who hasn't. Every time I showed him existing software like FreshBooks or QuickBooks, he'd get lost in the menus and features he didn't need.
So I built something simple. He needed to add a customer, create a quote, convert it to an invoice when the job was approved, and download a PDF he could send on WhatsApp or email. That's it.
From there it grew. He wanted his company logo on documents, VAT calculated automatically, banking details printed at the bottom, and a way to see how much money was outstanding at a glance. Every feature in EasyNest exists because he asked for it while actually using it on real jobs.
The free plan is there because I know there are other sole traders and small contractors in the same position. They don't need enterprise software, they just need to look professional and get paid on time.
