Easy Tasks by Morgen

Your browser's missing shortcut for getting stuff done.

Chrome Extensions
Task Management
Vibe coding

Bookmarks have no reminders, tabs clutter your screen, and opening another to-do app just breaks your flow. Now, you can highlight any text on the web and instantly turn it into a task for later with one simple shortcut. Each task saves a link that takes you right back to the text you highlighted, so you never lose your context. PS: this feature is 100% vibe-coded with Claude Code ✌️

Hi Product Hunt 👋

We’re shipping a chrome extension to help you stay on top of your to-dos.

But the backstory has a little twist… This thing was 100% vibe-coded on my second day on the job.

I joined Morgen 3 weeks ago and @david_tedaldi1 (our founder) flew me to Prague for a speedy onboarding.
Like anyone starting a new job, I came in full of ideas.

So on day 2, I shoot my shot. The conversation went something like this:

  • Me: "Hey David, wouldn’t it be dope to have a Chrome extension to quickly create to-dos, and auto-schedule them in Morgen?"

  • David: “Tell you what: let’s grab dinner and discuss this. If we’re still hyped after food, we’ll vibe-code it tonight”.

So we grabbed dinner. And we stayed hyped.

The Pivot
There was one problem… connecting the extension to a user’s Morgen account via our API wasn’t possible without help from the devs.

But we weren't gonna let that ruin our first hackathon, so instead, we tweaked the plan: we’d build it as a standalone free tool that double serves as a lead magnet for Morgen.

If we hit 100 signups, we'd have market validation to build the native integration ASAP.

The build

I started working on the prompt while David sketched some light mockups. Then, we fed it all to Claude Code.

After a few minutes, like a microwave going Ding! when your food is ready, Claude went “Voila!” and delivered a fresh first version of the extension.

And by midnight, we had it: a working Chrome extension built in a couple hours.

The launch

Over the next few days, we tested it, passed Google's approval, prepped SEO support, designed landing pages, and it went live. We got 23 users on launch day.

3 weeks later, I’m launching it on Product Hunt.

2025 is the first year it’s possible to ideate, build, and launch a working product without coding experience, in a few hours. It's insane to be in the gist of it.

Now, go and try the extension. And if this story resonates, we’d love to hear your feedback ✌️

Cheers,

Jim Hartung

Interesting project. It would be great to integrate with Jira so that a task goes directly into a project.

Congrats on the launch! That’s what I love about startup culture - you build fast, test fast, and pivot when needed. Really love the idea. I think it could genuinely level up my productivity. I’ll give it a try and share feedback! :)

Everything this team releases is top notch!! Congrats @david_tedaldi1 and team!

This was on my to-do list to build, but never had time to sketch out the workflow. This is absolutely perfect. You have done a much needed organizer for us chaotic 100 tab people.

The only missing feature (and I would pay for it), is categorizing. If I had a way to create my own categories/keyword tagging, i.e. Personal, Work, Music, Marketing, Interesting, etc. with color coordination, that would make this PERFECTER.

Thank you and keep up the great work!

Edit: Timestamp - Date added would also be a cool win!

Congrats on the launch! Feels like the perfect mix of momentum, curiosity, and “let’s just build it.” The extension looks super handy for quick brain-dumps during the day.

This is pretty cool. I'm starting to use now and it work's super well. Kudos to the team!

I can’t even count how many times I’ve bookmarked articles “for later” and never returned. This shortcut sounds like the perfect productivity sidekick I didn’t know I needed. definetly trying this out!

Interesting! i've always wanted to turn everything i see on my screen as a task.

As one of the software engineers building @Morgen, I approve this vibe-coded chrome extension 👍 seriously, great job guys!

Congrats on the launch — and on that bold day-2 pitch 😄🔥 I see how you turned a “what if” moment into a working product overnight 😊🤝The story alone sells the vibe perfectly. Are you planning to eventually link it directly to Morgen accounts once the validation goal is hit, or keep it as a lightweight standalone tool for quick-capture fans?

@jim_hartung "Refreshingly simple" indeed. This looks like a useful tool for me. I will give it a try for sure. Thanks for working on this. Good luck
