EarDub
AI YouTube dubbing: hear any video in your own language
EarDub dubs YouTube, Udemy and Coursera videos into your language in real time, right in Chrome or Edge. It merges fragments into full sentences before translating, then speaks the result in one of 75 languages with 300+ AI voices. Mix the original and dubbed audio, show bilingual subtitles, and start with the free plan.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm the product manager behind EarDub.
A lot of the best talks, tutorials and lectures on YouTube are in a language we only half follow. Auto-translated subtitles help, but reading them for 40 minutes is tiring and you stop watching what's on screen. EarDub lets you listen instead.
How it works: open a YouTube, Udemy or Coursera video, click the EarDub button in the player, pick a language and a voice. Under the hood it merges YouTube's short caption fragments into complete sentences before translating, so the dub doesn't restart every two seconds, then aligns each line to the original timestamps.
Honest limits: everyone in a video shares one voice, fast speakers can push the voice to speed up a bit, and on phones it only runs in Vivaldi on Android.
The free plan gives you 30 minutes of dubbing a day, no card needed. I'd love your feedback: which language did you try, how did the timing feel, and which videos broke it?
