Calendars show your time. DustOff Reset shows your capacity. A real-time Human Bandwidth Index for knowledge workers, helping you plan deep work, meetings, admin, and resets around cognitive load, emotional residue, and contextual friction. Zen, Flow, and Legend modes respond to where you actually are. Built privacy-first with local processing. Not a timer. Not a wellness app. Capacity infrastructure for the AI work era, built for the human inside the system.
I didn't build DustOff Reset because I wanted to be more productive.
I built it because my first job in the US nearly made me question myself.
I thought maybe I wasn't smart enough.
Maybe I was too slow.
Maybe I just wasn't trying hard enough.
But that wasn't the real problem.
I wasn't failing because I lacked effort.
I was operating with depleted capacity and there was no way to prove it.
I was adjusting to a new country, a new system, a new life, while still being expected to learn, absorb, and perform like nothing else was happening in the background.
From the outside, I looked fine.
Inside, I was struggling to think clearly, to focus, to keep up.
The system could measure my output.
It couldn't measure what I had left to give.
So it defaulted to the wrong conclusion.
That kind of misread doesn't just affect performance reviews.
It shapes how people see themselves.
That experience stayed with me, because it exposed a bigger gap:
Human capacity is not fixed. It fluctuates. But we treat people as if it's stable.
That's what DustOff Reset is built around.
At the core is the Human Bandwidth Index (HBI), a real-time score from 0–100 that reflects your current human bandwidth.
Not time.
Not output.
Capacity.
It's driven by three forces that operate under the surface:
— Cognitive Load: how much your working memory is holding
— Digital Fatigue: the cost of constant switching and open loops
— Emotional Residue: what previous experiences leave behind
These are the factors that determine whether you can actually do the work, even when you're sitting there trying.
The system runs in three modes:
— Zen: when capacity is low, protect it
— Flow: balanced, normal work
— Legend: high-capacity mode with stricter enforcement
Everything processes locally. Your behavioral data never leaves your machine. We're measuring something personal. It should stay that way.
Most tools measure how long you worked or what you did.
DustOff measures what you had available to work with in the first place.
Because a lot of what gets labeled as a performance problem is actually a capacity problem with no gauge.
We measure time.
We measure output.
We measure activity.
But we don't measure the resource that makes all of that possible.
The 24 people who've been using an early version describe it the same way: they finally have language for something they'd been feeling but couldn't name.
So I built the system I wish I had back then.
DustOff Reset is now live.
I'm curious how this lands:
Have you experienced days where your capacity clearly changed, but there was no way to explain it?
