Duplex clones Claude, Slack, Discord, or any Electron app into lightweight wrappers, each with its own login, settings, and Dock icon. Native Swift, notarized, first instance free.

Top comment

Hi PH! I built Duplex because I needed two Claude accounts on one Mac and macOS flatly refuses: one instance per app. Duplex generates tiny wrapper apps (~200 KB) that launch any Electron app with an isolated profile, so each copy has its own login, settings, and Dock icon. The original app is never modified and keeps auto-updating. It's native Swift with zero dependencies, notarized by Apple, and source-available on GitHub. The first instance is free forever; a $5 license unlocks unlimited instances. Works with Claude, Slack, Discord, Signal, VS Code, anything Chromium-based. Ask me anything, especially about the macOS internals that made this weirder to build than it looks.

Who hunted Duplex?

Duplex was hunted by Nimit Bhandari. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
