DuoBoard
The chore board for couples that isn't a scoreboard
A shared kanban board for two people: chores, shopping and a weekly recap that leads with what you did together. Recurring chores alternate turns automatically. No accounts, works offline, optional E2E-encrypted sync. Free, no ads.
Hi PH! I built DuoBoard because my partner and I kept arguing about chores, and every app we tried made it worse — leaderboards and "who's ahead" turned housework into a competition.
DuoBoard keeps score quietly (points exist) but the design leads with the shared total: "you shared 16 points this week", then the split. There's a weekly check-in that asks "did this week feel balanced?" — a conversation starter, not a verdict.
Technical bits I care about: no accounts, fully offline by default, and the optional sync between the two phones is end-to-end encrypted — the pairing key never leaves the QR code you scan, so the relay server only ever sees ciphertext.
It's free with no ads. I'd love feedback, especially from couples who tried other chore apps and bounced off them.

DuoBoard was hunted by hamdi ghorbel. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
