Droppable is a friendly little app for sending large files. Transfer raw photos and videos without losing quality or large file collections of up to 2TB straight from your Mac Desktop. Set expiry dates, add notes, and send to single recipients or groups.
The idea behind Droppable is simple: an alternative to tools like WeTransfer or Dropbox Transfer, but more convenient, efficient, and joyful to use.
Droppable is built for creatives who need to send large files with just a couple of clicks, straight from their desktop. It’s natively designed for macOS and deeply integrated into the system.
It pulls in your contact lists and organizes transfers into threads, just like a messenger, making repeat sending even faster and easier.
Droppable also integrates with your Google Drive, letting you send larger files using the storage you already have. That means fewer subscriptions and lower costs compared to other solutions. Your recipients receive a secure download link via email - never direct access to your Drive.
Select your contacts, set an expiry date, add a note, and hit send.
Small, unobstructive, efficient and joyful. There when you need it.
I'd greatly appreciate it if you gave it a try and shared your feedback with me! Some updates like activity tracking and notifications are in the works, but I’d love to hear what else you’d like to see added.
Sending massive files has been a constant pain for me. From large images, videos, and even just a bulk ZIP file. I really liked the aesthetic of Droppable and it's so simple... I'm actually a bit curious on how this was built.
Recommend trying if you're tired of uploading things to a DropBox, Google Drive, and whatever and just want to be able to send things directly from your finder/files folder.
Hey Roman — love how clear and focused this is. Droppable sounds like the kind of tool that feels invisible until you need it, then becomes essential. Here's a slightly sharpened version of your launch post that tightens the flow and highlights the key benefits:
I've been using Droppable since its release 1 or 2 years ago and it's such a smooth experience. I love that it's a one-time payment and I can use the Google Drive space that I'm already paying for. Congrats on the launch @romatesla!
I do normally hate scroll jacking but your demo on the landing page is quite clean :) nice work and congrats on launching!
Wait this is awesome, are you competing against WeTransfer atm as that's what typically I would say is my go-to when it comes to transferring large files etc. although this seems infinitely more streamlined which is what I'm always looking to do when I send my files!!
Best of luck w/ the launch today!!
Oh you hit my problem very well:) wish it would work with Yandex disk, would buy it today.
Love the idea, but I think differentiation to competitors can be very hard. What’s your ideal customer profile? How do you approach this? How many users so you currently have?
Thanks
I personally used wormhole app for basic file sharing. I am curious who is ideal customer for such product/service?
