DroidPass keeps passwords, passkeys, 2FA codes, cards and Wi-Fi keys in an AES-256 vault that opens offline. Move in directly from Apple Passwords, Dashlane or 1Password - no exported file sitting in your Downloads folder. Free tier, no ads, no tracking.

Hi Product Hunt DroidPass started because switching password managers is miserable. You export a CSV, which is every password you own sitting in plaintext in your Downloads folder, you import it somewhere else, and then you hope you remember to delete it. Most people get halfway through that and give up. 1.7.0 removes the file. DroidPass implements Credential Exchange, the standard Apple and Google built for exactly this, so your passwords AND your passkeys move across directly in one authorised handoff. Nothing is written to disk in between. How it works depends on the platform, and it is worth knowing which end you start from: - On Android, you start inside DroidPass: Import, then pick the app you are leaving. - On iPhone and iPad, you start in the app you are leaving. In Apple Passwords that is the "..." menu, then Transfer, then choose DroidPass. There is no button on our side, because iOS hands the transfer to the receiving app. WHAT ELSE IS IN IT - Passkeys. Create one on any site that supports them, and sign in straight from the AutoFill sheet with Face ID or Touch ID. They sync beside your passwords, so the same credential works across your devices. - AutoFill on both platforms. Tap a login field, tap DroidPass, unlock, done. - 2FA codes in the same app as the password they belong to. - An Emergency Kit - a printable PDF with a QR code you can put in a drawer, for the "what if I lose my phone" problem. - Cards, Wi-Fi keys and secure notes, not just logins. - It opens offline. The vault is on the device, so it works on a plane. WHAT IT COSTS The free tier holds 6 items, 1 passkey and 1 two-factor code - enough to try it properly, not enough to run your whole life on, and I would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Pro removes the limits: $2.49/month, $10.99/6 months or $17.99/year on Google Play; $7.99, $19.99 and $29.99 on the App Store. No ads and no tracking, on either tier. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO YET - No browser extension. It fills in apps and mobile browsers, not desktop Chrome or Safari. This is the most common request and it is the next big one. - On iPhone, AutoFill needs turning on by hand in Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords. iOS does not let an app enable itself. - On Mac it runs as the iPad app on Apple Silicon, not a native build. Happy to answer anything - including the awkward questions. If you try the transfer and it fails, say so here and it will get looked at the same day.
