DriveHub turns any car into a connected one. Plug in a $15 Bluetooth OBD-II adapter for live engine data, fault diagnosis with repair-cost estimates, automatic trip scoring, and an AI driving assistant — all native on CarPlay, not just your phone. Built this because every OBD app felt like an Android port stuck on iOS. DriveHub is iOS-first: CloudKit sync, a CarPlay cluster refreshing twice a second, dashcam with auto crash-clip protection, and one-tap SOS.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built DriveHub because every OBD-II app I tried felt like a leftover Android port stuck on iOS — clunky UI, no CarPlay support, and fault codes that just throw a cryptic number at you with zero context on what it actually costs to fix.
So I built the thing I wanted: plug in a cheap Bluetooth OBD-II adapter and get live engine data, an AI assistant that explains what a fault code means and roughly what it costs to repair, automatic trip scoring, and a CarPlay dashboard that's a first-class citizen, not a stretched phone screen.
Some of the harder problems I solved building this:
— A native CarPlay instrument cluster refreshing every 0.5s without draining the connection
— Automatic crash detection that locks dashcam footage the instant something goes wrong
— VIN decoding against NHTSA's public database, so you get make/model/trim with zero typing
Would love feedback, especially from anyone running older or less common vehicles where OBD-II support gets weird. What's the most annoying thing about your car that you wish an app could just tell you?
