Draftbase is an MDX-based headless CMS for React developers. No YAML swamp, no content modeling workshop, no deploy to fix a typo. Rich text is plain MDX, your components render it, and the price is on the pricing page.
Every CMS I'd touched fell into one of two camps. One was a bloated dashboard that fights the developer at every turn. The other was a raw database that hands writers a blank box and calls it flexibility. I got tired of picking my least-favorite poison. So I built the thing I actually wanted to use.
What pushed me over the edge was smaller than any grand thesis. API rate limits that made no sense for my traffic. Configs that behaved differently on every host. SDK docs that didn't match the real response. My favorite: circular bugs that popped up out of nowhere the moment I tried to render a piece of content. None of it was hard, exactly. It was just never simple. And simple was the whole point.
