I'm the creator of DownloadMapImage.
The idea came from a problem I encountered while working on local SEO and content projects. I often needed photos and Street View images from Google Maps, but accessing and saving them was not always convenient.
To solve this, I built DownloadMapImage.com and a lightweight browser extension that adds a "Get Image" button directly to supported Google Maps pages. When you find a photo or Street View image you want, simply click the button and access the image through DownloadMapImage.
