I’ve been a CFO and a fractional CFO. In a company with fewer than 30 people, the finance team is usually the founder: chasing invoices, matching bank lines, closing the month weeks late. By the time the numbers are ready, the decision they were needed for has already been made.
Our first version, launched in April, connected to the bank, reconciled transactions, and kept the P&L up to date. Founders could finally see their numbers. They still had the work to do. We validated some hypotheses and went further.
So we rebuilt Dori around agents that do that work: capture invoices, queue payments, reconcile, close the month. Each agent stops at the decision and sends it to you with its reasoning. You approve, and it carries on. You keep your bank, your accounting tool, and your accountant.
