6 months ago I lost my job. The same month my fiancé moved to another country.
Two of the hardest things hitting at the same time.
The distance was brutal. We'd run out of things to talk about on calls. We needed something, a ritual, a reason to laugh together every day despite the miles between us.
We both draw like 5 year olds. So one night I just thought, what if that was the whole point?
I built DooDash in 7 days with zero dollars. Just me, my laptop and the thought of making him smile from thousands of miles away.
He was my first user. He's still my favourite doodler.
Today I'm sharing it with the world and hoping it connects other people the way it connected us.
