I spend a lot of time in Google Docs, and one thing always bothered me: I could organize files in Google Drive, but the moment I opened a document, that organization disappeared. Every time I needed another file, I'd leave my document, search Drive, and lose my flow. It felt like folders existed everywhere except where I actually worked. So I built DocVault a Chrome extension that brings folders directly into Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms, so organizing and accessing documents happens without ever leaving the page.
The drag-and-drop folder creation right on the homepage is such a small thing but it changes how the whole thing feels. Way more useful than another buried settings menu.
Been waiting for something like this, organizing Docs and Slides into folders has been a mess for way too long. One thing that would make it even better is letting us set up automatic rules, like send anything shared with a specific client into their folder without having to move it manually.
