Hey, I'm launching doctagd today.
A surprising amount of useful business work still ends with someone copying rows from an Excel export into a Word document. Service agreements, software quotes, access requests, certificates, packing slips, intake summaries - the data starts in a spreadsheet, but the final thing people need to send around is still a .docx.
doctagd is built for that exact gap: Excel in, Word documents out. You can upload an Excel file with your existing Word template, map columns to placeholders, preview one row, then generate a batch of populated documents. If you do not have a template, Quick mode turns each row into a clean form-style Word document directly from the spreadsheet.
The part I care most about is repeat work. Once a workflow is correct, you can save it as a config and rerun it with a fresh Excel file later. doctagd keeps the mapping, flags renamed or missing columns before generation, and keeps uploaded files private. There is also a beta API for running saved configs from Zapier, n8n, Make, or your own backend, but the main product is intentionally usable from the browser.
There is a free plan with 10 generated documents/month and 2 saved configs, so teams can try it on a real workflow before paying.
I'd especially love feedback from anyone handling recurring docs like service agreements, quotes, certificates, access requests, packing slips, or form-response summaries. If you have a painful Excel-to-Word workflow, I would genuinely like to hear what shape it takes.
