Hey PH community - so excited to be back with my team at Hashnode for another hunt after a long time. Missed you all! 👀 We’re thrilled to share Hashnode’s journey, from helping developers and companies create blogs to now powering their product and API docs. This was a natural next step for us and one of the most requested features by our community. Docs for Hashnode is everything we wished current documentation tools would solve: - Unlimited UI customization - Build and use custom components - No build time - Team collaboration on docs—not just for developers - An intuitive writing experience like Notion and Google Docs Over the years, we’ve tried many tools at Hashnode. Readme felt restrictive in UI, and Docusaurus was a hassle to maintain and deploy. We think our Documentation tool is the one-stop solution for developers and teams of all sizes. Start with the hosted version, and as your company scales, switch to headless mode for full UI customization. Here are a few things I personally love about this tool: 1. Host multiple guides and API references in one project. 2. One-click API reference playground generation from OpenAPI spec. 3. Go headless and tweak the Next.js + TailwindCSS project to suit your team’s needs. 4. Rich and familiar MDX visual editor. 5. A powerful “Ask AI” search for docs. We can’t wait to see what you do with our new Docs product. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback!

My friend was looking for a better documentation solution, and this looks perfect for them. I'll definitely pass it along

I love how this product simplifies creating customizable docs. MDX editing, AI-driven search, and OpenAPI playgrounds make it super user-friendly and perfect for seamless collaboration!

What about the AI-powered search feature. How does it handle user queries? Does it learn over time?

I found the signup process a bit confusing at first. A clearer onboarding guide might help new users.

You can add a mobile-friendly version of the editor could enhance usability. It would make editing on the go much easier.

Thanks, this looks like an amazing tool for developers and teams. Can't wait to try it out and see how it enhances our documentation workflow

We started evaluating Docs by Hashnode even before their official release. It's a great product built by a great team. Thank you for your fantastic support, guys!

Congrats to the Hashnode team on launching the new Docs for Hashnode! 🎉 This looks like a game-changer for developers and teams needing full control and customization of their documentation and API references. The headless approach, combined with MDX-driven editing and AI-powered search, is simply brilliant. The ability to host multiple guides and API references in one project, generate one-click API playgrounds from OpenAPI specs, and customize using Next.js + TailwindCSS is impressive. Plus, the seamless collaboration and intuitive writing experience akin to Notion and Google Docs are just what the community needs. Can't wait to dive in and see how this simplifies the documentation process. Fantastic job, @fazlerocks and the Hashnode team! 🚀

This is going to be perfect as a I wrap my site build! Congratulations on the launch!

Yeah this is pretty handy for dev tools - not good enough to have the best products these days, but you also need the best dev exp. Is there an AI that look into the codebase and updating the APi in realtime? Is o that’s pretty cool, you can prob save 1/2 fte - very good for early stage companies. Congrats @fazlerocks and team!

Hey there, fellow Product Hunters! 👋 Just took a peek at Docs by Hashnode and I gotta say, it's looking pretty slick! 🚀 Love the idea of combining blog and docs in one place - that's some next-level content synergy right there. The MDX editor and headless mode are definitely standout features. And that AI-powered search? Chef's kiss! 👨‍🍳💋 But hey, let's get real for a sec. While it's looking good, there's always room for improvement, right? Here are a few thoughts: 1. How about throwing in some pre-built templates? Not everyone's a design wizard, ya know? 🧙‍♂️ 2. Version control seems a bit basic. Maybe take a page from GitBook's book (pun intended) and beef that up? 3. Speaking of GitBook, their real-time collaboration is pretty sweet. Could be cool to see something similar here. 4. Noticed the lack of a desktop app. In this age of "there's an app for everything," might be worth considering. Don't get me wrong, I'm digging what you've built. It's like if Notion and Swagger had a baby, and that baby was really into APIs. 👶💻 Curious to see how it stacks up against the big players like ReadMe and Docusaurus in the long run. But for now, I'm just gonna sit back and watch the docs roll in. 📚 Keep up the great work, Hashnode team! Can't wait to see what you cook up next. Maybe a documentation-writing AI assistant? (Just kidding... unless? 👀)

The hero we needed, this is an awesome product, it'll go a long way in improving the dev experience when writings documentation

congratulations on the launch Fazle. Wish you and your team best. spreading the word further.

I am very happy to see this product. As an independent developer, every time I write a document, it takes up a lot of my opinions. Does this product support multiple languages?

Congrats on the launch!Ask AI for docs is very useful for the user who want to find something quickly
