Dockr turns your codebase into living, always-current documentation. It analyses every commit, generates human-readable explanations, produces visual diagrams for files, classes, methods, and workflows, and surfaces context-aware FAQs and Tips - so teams understand what the code does and why it matters. No stale wikis. No manual doc maintenance. Just documentation that evolves with your code.
We built Dockr because documentation was always a tax on engineering teams.
At every company I've been in, the same thing happened: a new hire would spend their first week reading wiki pages that had quietly gone stale months ago. Seniors would get pulled into "quick questions" that weren't quick. And every sprint retro had at least one "we should document this" that never happened.
We started by automating doc generation from commits. That helped, but the real insight came when we realised teams don't just need what the code does - they need why it matters. A diagram without context is just a picture. A doc without logic is just text. So we added FAQs, Tips, and Notes tied to actual code behaviour. Now when someone lands on a function, they see not just the explanation, but the edge cases, the design decisions, and the gotchas that usually live in one person's head.
Dockr is for teams who are tired of documentation being a backlog item that never gets prioritised. Would love to hear your doc horror stories - or try it on your repo and tell us what surfaces.

Who hunted Dockr?
Dockr was hunted by Jayaveer Bhupalam. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
