Setup in under 90 seconds. 3-day free trial on every plan, and Product Hunt gets 60% off the first payment, auto-applied through our PH link.
Hey Product Hunt — founder here.
I built DNSight because my Pi-hole went blind the moment my phone left the house. Per-device encrypted DNS fixes that: every phone, laptop and TV gets its own endpoint, and the lookup stream follows the device onto cellular and roaming.
What made me finish it was one night of logs. Between 02:30 and 06:00, face-down on a nightstand, my iPhone made 296 DNS lookups across 130 domains — backups and push, but also ad SDKs phoning home from apps I hadn't opened in weeks. The full write-up (including where my own classifier got it wrong) is at dnsight.ai/night.
Honest limits, because DNS tools love to overclaim: DNSight sees who your device talked to and when — never message contents. Where an inference is a guess, it says so.
For Product Hunt: 60% off your first payment, auto-applied when you come through our PH link, on top of the 3-day free trial every plan gets. I'd love to hear what your chattiest device turns out to be — and happy to answer anything about the resolver setup or the classification engine.
